Xiaohongshu (RED) · 小红书
Xiaohongshu is where a lot of Chinese students and families in Australia look for food. If you run a Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Italian or any other non-Chinese restaurant, chances are nobody has posted about you there yet. We can change that. We write everything in Chinese, so you don't have to.
What we do
We open a Xiaohongshu business account in your restaurant's name, give you a good Chinese name, and pin your shop on the map so diners can tag you in their posts.
Not word for word. A Chinese diner should be able to read it and know what they're ordering and how spicy it is. We'll put the same menu on your website too.
A few posts a week in natural Chinese, with photos that make people hungry. Your photos or ours.
We invite local student food bloggers to come and eat. When it's a free meal or a paid visit, the post says so. We never buy likes or write fake reviews.
Questions in the comments and DMs get a reply in Chinese, usually the same day. If someone wants to book, we send them to your booking page.
We set up a small offer only Xiaohongshu users know about, like a free drink if they show the post, so you can count how many came in. You get a short report in English each month.
Is it a good fit?
Close to a uni, or in places like Haymarket, Burwood, Chatswood, Hurstville, Eastwood, Rhodes or Kensington. In Melbourne, Box Hill, Glen Waverley or the CBD.
It's a photo app. Most restaurants already have two or three dishes that do well.
Your staff don't need to speak Chinese. We'll give you a Chinese menu and a cheat sheet for the counter.
Monthly plan
We can't promise you'll go viral, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What we can promise is the work gets done every month, and you'll see what came of it.
Questions
Think Instagram mixed with Google reviews, in Chinese. People post photos and notes about places they've eaten, and others search it before they go out. In English it's called RED or RedNote.
Not at all. We handle the Chinese. Anything we need from you, we'll ask in English.
It's a different crowd. Plenty of Chinese diners hardly use Instagram or Google Maps for food. They search Xiaohongshu. We won't touch your Instagram.
Sometimes. Their ad system is mostly set up for companies registered in mainland China, and overseas businesses can only use it in some cases. If yours qualifies, we'll set it up and you pay Xiaohongshu directly. Most restaurants do fine without ads.
You. It's set up in your business name. If you stop working with us, it stays with you.
No. It's against Xiaohongshu's rules and Australian consumer law, and accounts get banned for it.
We do, but this plan is really for restaurants with no one on the team who writes Chinese. Chinese restaurants usually start with our website and Google work.
